Never thought I would be leaving a review for a pet nail trimmer until using this product. I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback with nails that are both long and thick… And not to mention, fast growing. For the past eight years, I have used a Dremel tool with a diamond bit. We recently added a puppy to the family and the power cord to my Dremel tool ended up as a chew toy. I decided to give this product a try before purchasing a replacement Dremel. HOLY COW! Not only was it far quieter and lighter than the Dremel, and much easier to handle, it trimmed nails just as quick if not quicker. I cannot recommend this purchase enough.
Bought this product 8 months ago for my 6yr old labs dark nails and it's very consistent. There's three settings, led lights for better supervision, can even remove the guard for more free-hand flexibility. It is worth $40. Comes with three stone heads I'm even still utilizing the first one. Would probably save you $200-$500/year from the groomer. The downside is that it takes a long time to fully charge almost like that drill bit your dad has at home. Would recommend to any large breed owner!
